CPU RESOURCE POLICY
Fair Use Scheduling Mechanism & Limitations
Shared Resources vs. Dedicated Resources
Please be aware that ALL our VPS products are Low-Cost Shared VPS instances.
They are designed for lightweight applications (such as web hosting, proxy, dev environments) and are NOT suitable for heavy sustained workloads (such as video encoding, mining, or scientific calculation).
If you require guaranteed CPU performance 24/7 without restrictions, please consider purchasing our VDS (Dedicated) products.
Whether or not you intend to become our customer, we fully respect your right to know. Therefore, we are willing to explain in detail how our CPU performance scheduler operates.
VirtFusion Mechanism Limitation
Due to unchangeable VirtFusion mechanisms, reducing CPU performance causes significant degradation in disk and network performance. As VirtFusion has not resolved this, we must operate within these existing rules.
STRICT MODE
NODE: NoneIn Strict Mode, we enforce a rigorous CPU usage policy to ensure stability for all neighbors.
- VM running = Enters observation period (Sliding Window)
- Avg CPU ≤ Ignore Stat Threshold: Measurement Exempt
- Avg CPU > Ignore Stat Threshold: Counted in Baseline Core Performance stats
- Baseline Core Performance Depleted = Enters confirmation period (Sliding Window)
- Avg CPU ≤ Confirm Threshold: No Limit
- Avg CPU > Confirm Threshold: Limit CPU, Lock until next day
| Config | Observ. Period | Ignore Stat Threshold | Confirm Period | Confirm Threshold | CPU Limit | Full Load Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1Core | 7min | ≤30% | 7min | >42% | 15% | 45.0 min |
2Cores | 6min | ≤28% | 6min | >39% | 15% | 52.5 min |
3Cores | 5min | ≤26% | 5min | >36% | 15% | 56.0 min |
4Cores | 4min | ≤24% | 4min | >34% | 15% | 60.0 min |
8Cores | 3min | ≤22% | 3min | >32% | 15% | 67.5 min |
Full Load Duration refers to: The maximum available time per day under baseline core performance and full load conditions (calculated cumulatively within one day).
RELAXED MODE
NODE: GENERALRelaxed Mode offers higher thresholds and limits performance instead of strictly shutting down (unless extreme abuse).
- VM running = Enters observation period (Sliding Window)
- Avg CPU ≤ Ignore Stat Threshold: Measurement Exempt
- Avg CPU > Ignore Stat Threshold: Counted in Baseline Core Performance stats
- Baseline Core Performance Depleted = Enters confirmation period (Sliding Window)
- Avg CPU ≤ Confirm Threshold: No Limit
- Avg CPU > Confirm Threshold: Limit CPU, Lock until next day
| Config | Observ. Period | Ignore Stat Threshold | Confirm Period | Confirm Threshold | CPU Limit | Full Load Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1Core | 7min | ≤40% | 7min | >52% | 30% | 45.0 min |
2Cores | 6min | ≤38% | 6min | >49% | 30% | 52.5 min |
3Cores | 5min | ≤36% | 5min | >46% | 30% | 56.0 min |
4Cores | 4min | ≤34% | 4min | >44% | 30% | 60.0 min |
8Cores | 3min | ≤32% | 3min | >42% | 30% | 67.5 min |
Full Load Duration refers to: The maximum available time per day under baseline core performance and full load conditions (calculated cumulatively within one day).
Policy enforcement is automated. Thresholds are subject to change based on overall node health.
